Deperla is an
impressive
mare with a lovely
head and harmonious top line. She's foundationally strong with
sub-
stantial bone. Her conformation is very
good; shoulder, back, croup, hip angles are in good proportion with the
rest of her body. Deperla's walk is pure, ground covering and elastic. Her
trot is expressive as she moves light
on her feet with impulsion, balance and suspension. She has a lovely well-balanced 3-beat uphill suspended
canter with an
expansive, reaching hind leg.
Kind, sensitive, and intelligent, Deperla was
"Reserve High Score Mare"
at her mare
inspection in 2006. Her
overall score was 52 points with very good comments. (9
for type, 8 for frame, 7 for walk, 8 for trot, and 8 for
canter). Twelve mares were presented for approval and Neal Westgerdes was the
inspector.
On November 7, 2007, Deperla was sadly euthanized
due to serious colic complications. Her legacy will be
carried on by her beautiful filly,
DeCapria by
Timotheus.
