The lovely Empress mare line traces back to the famous Shagya Arabian stallion, Gazal VII.  Born in 1995, Empress was bred as a four year old.  She has produced 8 beautiful foals, and her last foal was a gorgeous filly by Timotheus. Empress' dam Esna was imported from Germany by Tylord Farm as a yearling shortly after she received a "perfect score" of 1,1 (old German scoring system). In addition, Esna's full brother, El-Zid was a fully licensed and successful breeding/performance stallion with the German Verband.

Empress' sire, Enrico Caruso *Ps*E* was a world class stallion and one of the best stallions the breed has ever had. You will find his blood in the pedigrees of many successful horses in both Europe and North America.
