Born in Germany in 1970, the noble and impressive chestnut sabino stallion Unkenruf *Pg*E* was Champion Stallion at his Korung in 1972.  He was competed in Germany by Herbert Rehbein, and sold out of Rehbein's barn to Australia before being sent back to Germany to be sold again.  Two weeks before his arrival to Germany, Tylord Farm purchased him and exported Unkenruf to the U.S.

The well-known competitor, George Williams successfully competed him in Grand Prix Dressage.  Licensed with the German Verband, ISR Oldenburg, and the ATA, Unkenruf was the 1990 USDF All Breed Grand Prix Champion, ATA HOY Grand Prix Champion, and was 3rd at the AHSA Midwest National Finals. Other competitions of Unkenruf and his offspring are posted on his ATA stallion page.

Producing two ATA approved sons, Savant and Sieg, Unkenruf also produced many offspring in Germany, Australia, and in the U.S. that are successfully competing today in all disciplines.  In addition, he is the dam sire of the Verband Approved stallion, Lord Luciano.

Unkenruf lived at Tylord Farm until he passed away in 2002 at the age of 32.
